Warehouse Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist position is responsible for but not limited to performing an array of functions including receiving and processing incoming materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and maintaining KPI’s, ensuring compliance with BMF guidelines, accurately tracking of inventory of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods as well as driving to pick up or deliver materials in the field.

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Assist with shipping, receiving and checking in merchandise within KPI’s guidelines

· Use Accurate, timely data input and record keeping.

· Ensures handling and distribution of products is conducted in accordance with BMF standards.

· Prepare orders by processing requisition requests and material pull request; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in respective sortation areas

· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to BMF standards

· Assist with shipping, receiving and checking in merchandise

· Inspect shipments upon receipt for damage or inaccuracies

· Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. Assist in counting of physical inventory

· Assists resolving Materials issues.

· Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.

· Assist in the delivery and pickup of materials from vendors and productions areas.

· Maintains warehouse space(s), including replenishing of supplies and maintaining equipment

Other Duties

· Uses time wisely to perform duties and achieve goals.

· Works with Manager to support departmental goals.

· Communicates with departments and production to ensure quality service.

· Performs other duties that may be assigned.

Physical Demands

Walking, lifting and carrying items. May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on occasion. Maintains and cleans the warehouse and work area after every shift.

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

· Valid Driver’s License.

· At least three years of experience in material handling, and/or functional warehouse areas (receipt, storage, dispatch, shipment).

· Proficiency with PC-based computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

· Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of inventory management and shipping and receiving processes

· Forklift operating skills. Must become certified according to safety regulations.

· Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
