Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad range of programs within a designated Clubhouse, including Education, Social-Emotional Wellness, Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills.
Main Responsibilities
• Lead efforts to improve academic success of program youth, identifying support and resources for youth and families, helping student/family in accessing resources.
• Assist in development and facilitation of academic enrichment activities for all Club members.
• Coordinate communication between schools, caregivers, and participants.
• Facilitate goal-setting activities.
• Complete administrative activities for programs, including recruitment of participants, public relations and community outreach, conduct community workshops, record keeping, program reporting, attend required trainings, and all other program, financial, and administrative duties assigned.
• Facilitate youth-led community events and activities including, but not limited to, recruiting participants, maintaining communication with partners and Tribal leadership.
• Plan and oversee additional activities that support Youth Development Outcomes and assist in establishing Clubhouse program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
Requirements
• A minimum of two years' experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of youth.
• One year of college coursework required; Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. A combination of education and directly relatable experience may be substituted on an individual basis.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient word processing skills and various computer skills including, but not limited to, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, social media, spreadsheets, email communication, search engines, presentation software, and other online software systems.
• Knowledge of the mission, priority outcomes, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs.
• A high level of enthusiasm and commitment to serving youth.
