Slot Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Lead Slot Technician, the Slot Technician position maintains and repairs slot machines on floor to ensure efficient operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides exemplary customer service by “Exceeding Expectations One Opportunity at a Time”.
2. Must maintain the essential functions of a Slot Attendant, as deemed necessary (see Slot Attendant Position Description).
3. Identifies and repairs malfunctioning slot machines, tracking system components, signs and related equipment.
4. Installs and removes electronic gaming devices form the gaming floor.
5. Performs machines and sign conversions.
6. Performs preventive maintenance on all electronic gaming devices, tracking systems, progressive systems, and signage.
7. Install, maintain, and repairs all electronic table game devices including mechanical card shufflers.
8. Installs and maintains all progressive systems and signage on electronic gaming devices.
9. Installs, maintains, and repairs tracking system components from the gaming device to the front end controller, including all parts, lines, and token ring makes component and board level repairs.
10. Insures proper communication of technical and personnel related information within the department.
11. Makes machines moves on the gaming floor and coordinates with other departments.
12. Provides meter readings as necessary on a daily basis to income control for reconciliation purposes.
13. Encourages players to utilize their FunCard and explain the benefits of utilizing their FunCard.
14. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of slot areas.
15. Responsible for maintaining a professional, neat, and clean appearance.
16. Responsible for learning and following daily policies and procedures for the Slot Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.
17. Performs and ensures compliance with the Bay Mills Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations.
18. Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Directing, including Title 31.
19. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position’s essential functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk with occasional sitting and standing.  Occasionally the employee must crawl, climb, crouch, kneel, and push/pull with frequent bending and balancing.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  The employee is regularly exposed to dust and cleaning chemicals and heights.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be 18 years of age or older.
3. Must have one year slot experience.
4. One to three years related experience and/or training desired.
5. Must be able to obtain a gaming license through the Bay Mills Gaming Commission and maintain eligibility throughout employment.
6. Must have basic electrical and electronic equipment knowledge.
7. Must have positive, outgoing personality towards customers and fellow employees at all times.
8. Must be dependable and flexible with work schedule.
9. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
10. Must have an excellent past work record, including attendance.
