PAY RATE: $18.81
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Saganing Slot Technician Supervisor, responsible for the day-to-day repairs of slot machines, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting device malfunctions. The position is responsible for executing machine moves, conversions, and installations and upgrades as directed by Saganing Slot Technician Supervisor and/or Saganing Slot Manager. The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional guest service to all guests, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle machine related guest issues in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
- Install, move, test, repair and maintain electronic and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems.
- Review, interpret and verify slot pay tables, settings and jackpots of established amounts.
- Seeks assistance and direction from the Slot Technician Supervisor on complex problems and continuing training issues.
- Interpret accounting and communications system information as related to proper machine functionality.
- Assist in the ongoing training and development of inexperienced Slot Technicians.
- Assist in maintaining a pleasant casino environment by removing and disposing of trash, cleaning up spills and clutter, and keeping work areas organized.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Contact with team members or organization and outside sources.
- Contact with the general public, to assist in guest service pertaining to the Slot department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One year of work experience as a Slot Technician or work experience in an electronic, electrical, mechanical or computer maintenance field.
- Must pass Slot Technician exam with a minimum of 80% within 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license or pass background check to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates degree in electronics.
License, Certification, or Special Requirements:
- Successful applicant must satisfactorily complete the Slot Technical Training Program (STTP) on the job training within one year in position. Intra-department applicants who have completed the STTP within the past three years are not required to complete the STTP again.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of mechanical functions and play aspects of slot machines, procedures and Casino floor operations.
- Knowledge of slot machines and the electronic data system hardware.
- Knowledge of basic manual hand tool and repair methods.
- Knowledge of electronically mechanical troubleshooting methods and techniques.
- Knowledge and experience using a voltmeter and troubleshooting wires as it relates to slot machines.
- Knowledge in electronic systems and electro-mechanical systems.
- Skill in guest
- Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and presentation software (such as PowerPoint).
- Skills in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Ability to work odd hours and be on call for emergency purposes.
- Ability to read schematics and perform software control of peripherals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow instructions and to abide by department and Casino policies and procedures.
- Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to follow normal safety precautions.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with tool use and equipment repair.
- Required to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Required to lift, carry, push and pull.
- Occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and operation of cleaning equipment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
