Home Health Occupational Therapy Professional
BAYADA Home Health Care is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver exceptional home health care services to individuals in need.
Primary Responsibilities
- Visit clients at their homes to assess their functional abilities and create tailored intervention plans to improve their quality of life.
- Inspect clients' home environments to identify potential hazards or barriers to independent living and suggest necessary adjustments.
- Regularly review and update occupational therapy care plans, ensuring collaboration with other healthcare professionals as required.
- Teach patients, family members, or caregivers about rehabilitation techniques and strategies to promote overall health, safety, and independence.
- Document client interactions, interventions, and progress accurately.
Key Requirements
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Maryland.
- Desirable but not mandatory: prior experience in home care settings.
- A minimum of one year of recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, preferably including experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
