BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to serve patients in Montgomery County. This is a full-time or part-time, pay per point position.
Job Description
As a Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Speech Therapist, you'll use your clinical skills and heart to treat patients in the comfort of their own home. You will:
- See clients through their care needs from hospital discharge to living a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity.
- Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop treatment plans based on evaluations, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
- Continually assess and revise speech therapy care plans and participate with BAYADA clinicians in multidisciplinary care plans as needed.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote health, safety, and independent living.
You will make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
Requirements
To be successful as a Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Speech Therapist, you should have:
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements and work experience.
- Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
- A calm and reassuring presence, active listening skills, excellent assessment skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
We will train you, and previous home healthcare experience is welcomed but not required.
