Summary: Part time HR Generalist with flexible hours, responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function. On-site flexible hours- 24 hours on a weekly basis -Multisite locations (MO, CT, MA, OH). This position is based in the St. Louis, MO area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to employee’s benefit questions, resolves problems regarding access to or payment of benefits, orients newly eligible employees, and processes enrollment forms and change requests.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to onboarding, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Understands pay philosophy and handles questions on the annual cycle, bonus plan, etc.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Maintains job descriptions of the Company’s positions and ensures they are up to date.
  • Maintains employee files.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Supports all unemployment/workers comp hearings.
  • Supports the recruiting/hiring process.
  • Works to identify short and longer team employee engagement strategies that could include activities like employee resource groups, annual engagement surveys, employee events, and manager development opportunities (could be supported by a consultant and reinforced and executed with on-site HR support).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience in human resources is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required:
  • Professionals in Human Resources (PHR) or other HR certifications are preferred but not required.
