Your Tasks And Responsibilities

The Vegetable Production Research Associate is part of the Crop Squad in the Vegetable SPI Unit and is expected to own and support execution of day-to-day field activities such as data collection, field management and follow up seasonal worker activity.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Vegetable Production Research Associate , are to:

• Be responsible for timely and independently organize logistics around field trials, manage the trials in the field, accurate note taking, harvesting, finalize field trials;
• Assist in the recruitment and responsible for supervising, training, and developing team seasonal personnel;
• Participate in scientific discussions and technical discussions where needed.
• Support the Production Research Scientist in results analysis summarized in timely written and verbal reports (if applicable and when looking at development to scientists);
• Utilize of research equipment (lab and field) combined with mobile device for data collecting and note taking and training PR Assistants and seasonal workers in their use;
• Actively promote best practices and standard operating procedures to all employees;
• Support in identifying, developing, and maintaining QMS document needs within job responsibilities. Actively ensuring the maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Maintain PR QMS updated;
• Understand and comply with all country and company laws and regulation (Environmental Safety and Health, Stewardship, Quality, ISO, etc.).
  
  

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED;
• Experience with field research activities in the seed production environment.
• Proficiency in computers applications;
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the team and stakeholders;
• Accepts assignments and follows instructions to complete work in a timely manner;
• Eligible and willingness to often travel to local production areas.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in crop management in vegetable seed production environment.
