Music Therapist Job Summary
The Music Therapist is responsible for implementing music-related IEPs for designated clients in cooperation with the teaching and residential staff. The Music Therapist is also responsible for providing music therapy services to students according to their respective Schedule of Services and IEPs, and conducting music therapy assessments as required. Completes appropriate documentation of services, including providing information to the Education Department for Progress Reports and Report Cards.
Requirements
Music Therapist Qualifications and Skills :
- Must have professional licensure, in good standing, through the Texas State Board of Examiners for Music Therapy, as a Music Therapist.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience preferred, but not required.
