- Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate for this position (Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Management, Educational Technology or other equivalent disciplines), preferred.
- Strong understanding and experience working with PowerSchool, SQL Server, SQL Queries, MS Active Directory, Google Admin, Clever, Lightspeed filtering, Linux systems, virus protection and print management
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to narrow down the cause of an issue and determine a solution.
- Maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check.
- Completed and submitted BSD on-line application.
- Coordinate with appropriate school personnel in use of various technology resources.
- Create and maintain user accounts in Active Directory, PowerSchool, Google Admin, Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and other external systems used by the district so that staff and student accounts are ready on day one.
- Sync data between PowerSchool and other systems using automated systems such as Clever, Linux scripting tools or manual uploads.
- Generate Excel or CSV files to be uploaded to the Colorado Department of Education for district reporting purposes and ensure that all required CDE reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- The successful applicant will take the lead technology role in preparing for CMAS, NWEA, DIBELS, and other assessment tools used by the district.
- Work with district staff in all matters pertaining to PowerSchool.
- Respond to a variety of questions from site staff for the purpose of providing information, guidance or referral.
- Authorizes permissions and individual access to technology applications or services to ensure proper access to technology systems by staff, students, parents and others consistent with district operating guidelines and regulations.
- Supports the implementation of operational and educational technology initiatives (e.g. new systems, educational programs, hardware)
- Follow State legal requirements and District and building policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with staff members and the community.

- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.

- Strong project management skills, and drive to meet organizational and departmental objectives; ability to manage projects on interrelated time lines.
- Knowledge of classroom technology including SmartBoards, Promethean Board, Interactive Displays, document cameras, sound systems, projectors, cameras, etc. a strong plus.
