The Learning and Development Specialist will primarily work with the Learning and Development Manager (L&D) to facilitate corporate initiatives related to training and talent development. The position will support design and delivery efforts, as well as facilitate communications between the L&D team and the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and develop training content for the L&D department, including but not limited to presentations, videos, e-learnings, and facilitator guides.
- Facilitate instructor-led courses at various BayFirst locations.
- Assist in the management of BayFirst’s LMS system, BayFirst Academy.
- Manage the bank’s annual compliance training assignments, tracking & reporting, and employee support.
- Work with other departments to learn, guide, and suggest training material based on their needs and projected roadmaps.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, employee support, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
- Participate in other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NOTE: This is an on-site role, and may require occasional travel to other BayFirst locations in the Tampa Bay area. Candidate will need to be in the office as determined by management.
- Prefer those with proficiency in instructional design systems including MS Office Suite, Articulate 360, Camtasia, LMS, and others.
- Experience with in-person facilitation in education or a corporate training environment.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and reliably produce high quality work.
- Eagerness to work both autonomously and as a team player.
- Strong skills in organization, writing, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree Human Resources or Education preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Prefer 2 years in a Learning & Development capacity with a focus on instructional design.
- Banking experience strongly preferred.
