Job Description :
- Perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with appropriate skill level, adhering to current standards of care and departmental / hospital policies.
- Accurately perform all echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians, including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress, and pharmacological echocardiography.
- Correctly use mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians.
- Accurately assess hospital information systems for scheduling, processing, and correct charging of all studies.
- Implement infection control practices and demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.
- Interact with students from contracted colleges and universities, providing preceptorship and clinical guidance.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform cardiac diagnostic tests following age-specific guidelines and procedures, especially with neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
