Job Responsibilities
As a Collegiate Nursing Care Technician at Bayhealth, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established plans of care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist with non-sterile dressing changes and other skilled nursing procedures.
- Provide care to patients of various ages and needs.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
- Respond promptly to intercom and call lights.
- Participate in diagnostic and therapeutic exams as needed.
- Support other members of the nursing team as required.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree; Must be actively enrolled as an ADN or BSN Nursing Student who has completed one rotation of medical surgical clinical in acute care setting.
- Credential(s): Basic Life Support.
- Experience: Required: Completion of one semester of Medical Surgical Clinical.
- Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Certification in nursing.
- Credential(s): Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Experience: Preferred: Two semesters experience providing basic care to patients in a clinical setting.
Estimated Salary Range:
$45,000 - $60,000 per year.
