What We Are Looking For
This position will engage in fostering a culture of well-being that promotes and improves the health and well-being of individual students, student groups, and campus communities. Responsibilities include the development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that affect health behaviors and environmental factors; support student success; and advocate for policies that address campus and community health.
A Master’s degree and three years of relevant experience are required. A Master’s degree and eight years of relevant experience are preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Assist with the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based public health initiatives and campaigns
- Provide direct service to students along a dimension of health promotion including both physical and mental/emotional well-being that explores concepts such as resilience, human flourishing, joy, and thriving
- Maintain well-being ambassador program
- Supervise and coordinate the Mental Health First Aid initiative for the campus community
- Serve as the Campus Prevention Administrator for AlcoholEdu and assist with the federally mandated AOD compliance and subsequent reports
- Assist with the administration of the ACHA-NCHA survey and serve on the Division of Student Life assessment committee
- Supervise the recruitment, selection, hiring, and training of wellness-education and outreach student staff
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
