What We Are Looking For
The BRIGHTS Center is seeking a Grant Manager who will hold a leadership position in administering major research initiatives focused on research related to human flourishing in psychological science. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time-management skills, be detail-oriented and have expertise in providing excellent customer service. The candidate must be a self-starter and work well in a team environment.
A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience is required. A Master’s degree in Accounting, Human Development or a relative field is preferred.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
- Monitor work of team and provide general project management for the team (various faculty scholars and mentors, post-doctoral research associates, doctoral student assistants, undergraduate research assistants at multiple research sites)
- Oversee activities such as contact with sub-award sites, tracking grant progress, writing reports to the funding agency, communicate with various research sites and advisory board meetings, gathering final reports etc.
- Budget planning and tracking for multi-million budget(s)
- Plan and execute events associated with the grant (travel involved)
- Oversee promotion of research outputs into public resources to be publicly available for others to use
- Assist with every aspect of the projects as needed and other duties deemed appropriate by project leader
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
