Full Time Counselor - Residential Facility
We are a comprehensive addiction treatment center that prioritizes counseling services, supported by medical treatment. Our experienced professionals are committed to helping patients achieve lasting sobriety through compassionate support and evidence-based clinical approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions.
- Discuss client goals with them, including immediate and long-term objectives.
- Complete necessary documentation for compliance and client records in a timely manner.
- Create an initial treatment plan as part of the admissions process.
- Develop an individualized Master Treatment Plan based on the Clinical Assessment.
- Review progress and update treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide substantial client documentation throughout treatment.
- Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives and community education efforts.
- Attend staffing meetings, trainings, and weekly clinical supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries.
- Assign department head roles to clients and discuss house captain notes during the morning meeting.
- Ensure timely completion of weekly clinical audit items.
- Approve requests for sponsor visits, family visits, and outside appointments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or similar field.
- WV licensed preferred (LPC, LCSW, or LICSW), but not required.
- Addiction counseling and/or substance abuse treatment history.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, email, and EHR systems.
- Attention to detail and completeness of clinical notes and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
