Job Description
This Part-Time Nurse Practitioner position involves working in our OBOT Clinic, providing medical care and counseling to patients struggling with opioid use disorder. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal treatment outcomes
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program (AANP)
- At least 6 months of experience in Addiction Medicine and Primary Care
- Current licensure in the state of Louisiana
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment principles and practices
