Director of Housing
Job Summary :
Director of Housing Services is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing resources and activities related to business processes, system administration, improving systematic processes, supervises staff and oversees the operation of the RTC.
Essential Job Functions :
- Supervision and management of Pathfinder’s housing staff.
- Assists in hiring, supervising and reviewing all housing personnel employed by Pathfinders.
- Assists and works with the Executive Director in program planning, maintenance and revision of program forms, rules and procedures, as required.
- Arranges for and / or provides emergent coverage for absent program personnel.
- Directs and implements public relations and communication strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness of program.
- Oversees and maintains a high standard of cleanliness of the home. Oversees that the residential properties are in working order and identifies and addresses any concerns with the properties. (Find out what is broken / not working and figure out a plan to get it fixed. If it is a big project, then let management know and get a plan going to address the concern).
- Oversees department budgeting and receipts.
- Oversees residential staff and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversees vehicle maintenance.
- Understands and consistently employs behavioral management techniques.
- Monitors home for contraband to ensure a safe environment.
- Solve daily problems independently.
- Consult with the Executive Director regarding situations outside the scope of authority.
- Assures that proper food handling and storage is followed.
- Demonstrates good judgement and emotional stability in stressful situations. Values cleanliness, consistency, and rules.
- Oversight and management of communicable diseases policy and procedure protocols, such as STD testing, Covid 19 testing / vaccinations. Oversight and management of house and clinic cleaning and disinfections.
- Environment of Care Standards for Joint Commission and OBH, overseeing, inspecting, and correcting as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
