OVERVIEW
BayoTech, Inc., a leading provider of small-scale hydrogen generation systems, is seeking one Plant Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team. This is a full-time position with required evening, weekend, and holiday work.
This position is located in Wentzville, MO.
JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and machinery in a manufacturing or industrial plant. They ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and maximize production.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Repair or replace defective parts, motors, and control systems.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend improvements.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime.
- Communicate maintenance needs and updates to supervisors and team members.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and request replacements as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates with a background in pumps, mechanical seals, vessels, exchangers, gear drives, compressors, rotating equipment, and/or Electrical/Instrumentation knowledge is a plus.
- High School diploma/GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical datasheets.
- Ability to work up to 12 hours in a rotating shift environment.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Work for long periods. Must be flexible.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
- Must have basic computer experience.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- 1-3 years of industrial, chemical or power plant experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders and walkways as required.
