We are looking for a full-time experienced Plant Maintenance Technician at our Tesson Ferry Road location in St. Louis, MO to join our team and contribute to our long-standing tradition of excellence.
Position Overview
As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will support the plant manager in ensuring efficient aggregate production and maintaining the plant's operational integrity. Your role will involve the safe operation of heavy equipment, plant maintenance, and upholding our commitment to safety and quality.
Plant Maintenance Technician major responsibilities include:
- Safely operate and maintain various plant equipment, including conveyors and screening equipment, to process sand and gravel.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, performing minor repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal plant productivity.
- Perform preventative maintenance including inspecting and replacing worn parts.
- Weld broken parts and other items as necessary.
- Safely operate and maintain various heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, and excavators to load, move, and process materials.
- Follow all company and MSHA safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist with additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Plant Maintenance Technician candidate requirements:
- Experience performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Safety-focused and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Flexibility in daily tasks and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment and responsible decision-making in all aspects of job performance.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Dependable and available to work overtime as needed.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with night shift, overtime, and weekend work likely.
Union: Please note, applicant will be required to maintain membership as part of the Operating Engineers Local 513 Union.
