Brief Description
The Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for delivering reliability within budgeted cost. This position is accountable for planning, directing, and controlling the work of the Maintenance Department to support and maintain production departments and infrastructure with good engineering practices in line with Baystar – Bayport Polymers policies and procedures. This position is responsible to support all Safety and Environmental programs to ensure the protection of our employees, neighbors, the communities in which we operate and the environment as our highest priority.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or High School Diploma/GED required and relevant experience
- Requires a minimum of five years’ experience working in maintenance or mechanical engineering role in a chemical plant or oil industry
- Requires 5 years of experience managing, training and leading maintenance teams in a chemical plant or oil industry setting
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- Strong team leading skills
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills as an individual and as a leader
