What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Safety Technician position at BayWa r.e.?
We are currently looking for a Site Safety Technician to join our project in Amarillo, Texas. This is a full time onsite position.
What you'll do :
Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, State and Federal safety policies and regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections of construction sites, identifying potential hazards and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas or procedures, recommending corrective action and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and the client to implement effective safety strategies and practices.
Collaborate with site supervisory personnel to identify and remedy unsafe working conditions.
What you'll bring :
2 years of experience with safety inspection work in the construction industry.
Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently.
Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills.
Ability to work in extreme environments (example : hot sun, cold weather, heat or cold in homes and attics)
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops and in attics of multi-level buildings
Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills
Ability to travel to job sites performing site audits up to 25% of the time.
Must have a good driving record and maintain a valid Driver's License
