About Sampling Services
Our Sampling Services team puts our clients’ products into the hands of consumers so that they can create authentic content about those products. We work with 3rd party warehouses and other vendors across multiple countries to support this mission. In this role you will be responsible for managing our fulfillment vendors that receive products, assemble the boxes, and ship the boxes to over 7 million consumers worldwide in our Sampling Communities. Our Sampling business is growing rapidly and we’re looking for a leader to take our operations to the next level of quality, reliability, and scale.
As our Sr. Manager of Global Fulfillment Operations you will be responsible for establishing efficient and reliable process workflows between internal teams and fulfillment vendors. Our process involves receiving client campaign requirements from our account team, communicating those requirements to vendors, and ensuring goods arrive at the warehouse so that sampling boxes can be picked, packed, and shipped in time to meet campaign deadlines. We are looking for someone that has a firm understanding of international shipping procedures across all types of consumer products, including dangerous goods, perishable items, and oversized items. You should be knowledgeable of shipping requirements across borders and stay up-to-date on current events that affect fulfillment operations. You’ll use your expertise to establish best practices for fulfillment and ensure compliance across our internal teams and vendors. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of logistics and shipping experience across North America, EMEA and Australia.
\n- Manage a small team of regional fulfillment managers in locations across the globe, overseeing their day-to-day activities and quality of work
- Track and report on fulfillment costs across multiple vectors, including by customer, sales,opportunity, provider, service, region, and in aggregate.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics across fulfillment operations to stakeholders including executives. You should be able to provide both the high-level picture and go into detail when asked.
- Make data-driven recommendations to the business to reduce cost and increase efficiency and drive implementation of your recommendations
- Maintain top-level relationships with all major 3rd party providers and support your team in their relationships with day-to-day contacts
- Be the subject matter expert for all contract terms and rates with established vendors
- Work closely with our Procurement Director to contract new vendors and negotiate rates
- Establish onboarding procedures and quality control across all 3rd party providers
- Work collaboratively with other departments and functions to design new process and establish transparency and compliance across multiple teams
- Establish a pre-sales quoting process to quickly and accurately give sales pricing on new custom deals
- 5 years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, supply management, ecommerce operations, or a similar role
- Experience shipping consumer goods, including dangerous goods, perishable items, and oversized items
- Experience with fulfillment in multiple countries and regions- North America, EMEA and/or Australia is preferred
- Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and industry-standard data formats and tools
- Strong project management skills with the demonstrated ability to successfully manage a high volume of multiple projects at one time
