Position Overview
The Sales Representative generates sales for the Blockbuster product lines (branded firewood products) by focusing on sales leads and showing the end user our competitive strengths and benefits. They will also help with sales support to customers on parts and service. It is essential for the Representative to effectively provide detailed information on various products, programs or services offered by the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Calling on and profiling prospects for targeted regions.
- Assist customers with general product questions (features and benefits).
- Provide product quotes to dealers and/or customers quickly via email, phone, or social media.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Assist in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and providing guidance for rework/repairs when necessary.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers
- Continuously keeping up with and updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
- Effectively organizing and attending demos to promote the company brand, as well as, attending tradeshows.
- Assist customers in identifying best practices, operation set-up, product recommendations, etc.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Travel 10% of the time when needed.
- Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to represent the company in a positive manner.
- Passionate about product innovation and sales growth by promoting brand awareness.
- Align with the company mission and core values.
- Comply with company safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 4 year Degree with a focus in sales and/or business; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years experience in equipment sales preferred.
- Customer Service, Meeting Sales Goals, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships & Motivation for Sales.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license is required with a driving record in good standing.
- Based in Washington, IA , however, travel to market areas in other states may be required.
- Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
