Head of Sourcing and Procurement

Job Summary

BBS Automation Chicago is a leading provider of automated assembly and testing solutions, serving global industry clients. We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Leader to lead our regional procurement activities in the USA and Mexico.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating procurement activities, creating and maintaining strong supplier relationships, and establishing procurement policies and procedures to drive long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and service levels meet company standards
• Evaluate vendors on time and quality performance
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce cycle times
• Work closely with production, sales, finance, and other departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations
• Lead and manage the procurement team to enhance their professional capabilities and work efficiency
• Reduce procurement and operational costs by optimizing procurement strategies and supply chain processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields
• Minimum 10 years of procurement/supply chain management experience, with at least 5 years in the manufacturing or automation industry
• Expertise in supply chain management processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management
• Analytical skills to drive decision-making through data analysis
• Fluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams; additional foreign language (e.g. German, Spanish) is a plus
