Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Duties
- Review and process time sheets for work related to the project.
- Data entry accuracy
- Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and account information.
- Create project accounts in our Accounts Software
- Enter vendor invoices related to the project
- Create all project-related billings for customers
- Create Project reports daily for Management
- Close out project accounts upon project completion
- Maintain project-related records, including work orders and Purchase orders
- Filing and scanning vendor invoices and customer invoices
- Keep track of the PO log and WIP spreadsheet
- Create new vendor and customer profile information in our accounting system
- Accounts Payable Reconciliation
- Accounts Receivable Reconciliation
- Assist in month-end closing duties
Qualifications
- 1- 2 years of experience as a project accountant or similar
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is not required but preferred
- Extensive experience in project invoicing and billing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Intermediate Knowledge of Accounting principles, processes, and terminology
- Ability to perform basic math: addition, subtraction and division, multiplication, and finding percentages
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Data entry experience or related office experience
