Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for the management and reporting of financial data. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs all general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements for all companies and performs a consolidation of Spintastic, LLC quarterly.
• Maintains the general ledgers and all sub ledgers.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts (customers and vendors), reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank and credit card accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Payroll authorization processing and related journal entries
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting, cost accounting, inventory control and Bills of Materials.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software – Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 and QuickBooks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Advanced Excel skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• Three to five years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in Nav 365 and/or Business Central accounting software is preferable.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
