Job Summary :
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician III is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of the facility's equipment and systems. This role requires advanced technical skills in maintaining boilers, compressors, pumps, and other critical equipment while adhering to safety standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair :
Perform maintenance and repairs on boilers, air compressors, pumps, steam and water valves, and high-pressure condensates.
Monitor load demands, starting or shutting down boilers, air compressors, and pumps to maintain required output for steam, air, and water.
Monitor and maintain chemical feed systems for water treatment; perform tests and adjust chemical levels as needed.
Inspect boiler safety devices and prepare boilers for annual inspections.
React promptly to changes in load demands and emergencies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Log all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in the daily logbook.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in the boiler room and surrounding areas.
Assist in annual boiler inspections and collaborate with team members to uphold quality and safety standards.
Perform minor repairs such as replacing meters, tightening joints, and packing valves.
