Overview : BC Team is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time In-Office Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and payroll support. The Accounting Assistant also oversees essential tasks such as property tax payments and vendor compliance, including W9 forms and Certificates of Insurance (COIs).This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple financial responsibilities efficiently. By supporting accurate and timely financial operations, the Accounting Assistant contributes to the success and accountability of the business. If you have a passion for accounting and want to make a meaningful impact as part of a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply!Key Responsibilities : Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) : Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.Generate and send invoices to customers, monitor receivables, and follow up on overdue accounts.Maintain accurate AP / AR ledgers and promptly resolve discrepancies.Bank Feed Management & Reconciliation : Monitor bank feeds daily to ensure accurate and timely transaction imports.Track expenses and allocate them to the correct business entity or project.Reconcile bank accounts monthly and investigate discrepancies in bank statements.W9s & Certificates of Insurance (COIs) : Collect, review, and maintain updated W9 forms from vendors.Ensure vendors provide valid Certificates of Insurance (COIs) as required.Organize and securely store W9s and COIs.Credit Card Receipts & Billing : Track credit card transactions, collect receipts, and code expenses correctly.Reconcile monthly credit card statements and resolve discrepancies.Ensure proper documentation for all credit card expenses.Payroll Oversight : Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance.Request bank transfers to cover payroll withdrawals.Property Tax Payments : Track property tax deadlines and ensure timely payments.Maintain records of property tax payments and resolve any discrepancies.Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.At least 12 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Available benefits : 401k401k matchingDental insuranceHealth InsurancePaid Holidays Paid Time OffThis position will be 20 hours a week.
