Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and occasional transport of heavy construction equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. If you have a strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics, wed love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance : Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment such as loaders, dozers, excavators, graders, and haul trucks.Inspect equipment for potential issues and wear to ensure operational readiness.Diagnostics and Repairs : Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.Equipment Inspection : Conduct thorough inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and ensure compliance with safety standards.Maintain accurate inspection reports and maintenance records.Safety and Compliance : Follow company safety policies and procedures, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet company and regulatory standards.Collaboration : Work closely with the Superintendent, Foremen and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve equipment concerns.Communicate effectively with the maintenance supervisor regarding repair timelines and parts requirements.Documentation : Maintain detailed service records for all equipment.Submit work orders and parts requisitions promptly.Transport Equipment : Safely transport heavy equipment to and from job sites as needed, ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading in compliance with regulations and company policies.Qualifications & Experience : High school diploma or equivalent (required).A valid drivers license and clean driving record (required).Class A CDL license preferred.Certification in heavy equipment mechanics or diesel technology (preferred).35 years of experience repairing heavy equipment in construction, mining, or similar industries.Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.Ability to use provided software and technology to track communication, keep records, etcAbility to safely and effectively use a variety of tools and equipment.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.Available Benefits : 401k401k matchingDental insuranceHealth InsurancePaid Holidays Paid Time OffCompetitive pay (DOE)Location : Gilbert, AZJob Type : Full-TimeCompensation : Pay DOE (Dependent on Experience)Schedule : M-TH, with occasional overtimeTo learn more about our company, please visit our website www.bcteam.com.
