Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses. This role involves supporting scientific research projects and ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Laboratory Technician will conduct day to day tasks supporting a molecular biology and fermentations R&D teams.
- Collecting samples, generally a part of the weekend duties. Sometimes requested.
- Samples are typically a liquid culture of some kind, a small amount of which will be drawn from a flask and put into a tube, then into a freezer.
Required Skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with autoclaves
- Knowing how to use a PH meter
- Reagent making experience
- Working with live biologicals - good sterile techniques
Education and Experience
- At least 2 years of lab exp
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but if they have years of experience working in the lab, then they will be considered
- Preferring biology experience over chemistry experience due to this being a biology lab with live organisms. However, chemistry backgrounds are still considered.
- Someone who has worked full-time in a lab as a technician is preferred, not just someone with class lab experience.
- SENIOR CHEMISTS OVERQUALIFIED.
Software Skills
- Knowledge of Teams and Excel a benefit.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $27.78 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
