Desktop Support Specialist BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Specialist Professional for a Position in Laurel, MT. Position Title: Desktop Support Specialist Location: Laurel, MT Anticipated Start Date: [05/10/2025]Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Contract Duration: (6 MONTHS) Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $35-$40/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). [JOB DESCRIPTION]Minimum Qualifications (required)
* High School Diploma (or equivalent)
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
* Proven experience with endpoint management software platforms, desktop provisioning technologies, and PXE
* Advanced knowledge of Dell computer hardware and Printers
* Proficiency in popular operating systems Desktop/Mobile (Windows, IOS, Android) and software applications
* Experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
* Familiarity with network connectivity, patching, port tracing and troubleshooting
Good to have
* Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field
* ITIL Certification
* Certification: CCNA, A , N
* Scripting/Automation knowledge (PowerShell)
Physical Requirements
* Ability and willingness to work non-traditional work hours and occasional off hours to control interruptions to production processing and business impact
* Ability to work in manufacturing environment wearing appropriate PPE
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Top Three Skills:
- 2 years of desktop support (laptop and mobile as well)
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure, In Tune
