BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Jr Network Engineer for an opportunity in Tucson, AZ!
Position Title: Jr Network Engineer
Location: Tucson, AZ
Anticipated Start Date: 03/17

Expected Duration: 7 months contract Renewable
Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [ONSITE]
Pay Range: $38 - $39.50/hr

Roles and Responsibilities:
Network Engineer experienced with Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless and VoIP equipment, software and design.
Highly skilled in the use of troubleshooting tools Network design and documentation, including drawings
Implementation of new or refreshed networks
Configure and upgrade network hardware and software code
Deploying and upgrading wireless networks Configure VoIP switch ports.
Complete Change Management process / approvals for all changes
Follow process and procedures for wiping equipment to be returned to storage or a vendor
Update network documentation related to deployed assets
The ability to make Presentations to the customer’s senior management.
Required Skills:
3 years LAN Network Engineering
3 years’ experience in Cisco Switch/Router network configuration and trouble shooting
Knowledge of Cisco router and switch configuration and troubleshooting
Highly skilled in the use of trouble shooting tools
Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting VSS and HSRP
Knowledge of MACsec configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of layer 2 tunneling
Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting layer 2 and layer 3 protocols (e.g. spanning tree, IPv4, 802.1q, EIGRP)
Knowledge of Cisco software licensing and upgrading IOS
Knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting
Verbal and written Communication Visio, Power Point, Word, Excel
LAN Design and Architecture - Minimum 5 years’ experience
Experience in Deploying and managing wireless environments (wireless LAN controller and access points)
Experience with VoIP deployment
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Be able to communicate effectively with network engineering (internal and external) and management (internal and customer)
Desired Skills:
1) Protocols - Ethernet, Multicast, Spanning Tree, TCP/IP, and Network Infrastructure
3) Experience troubleshooting LAN issues
4) Understanding of Network Design Best Practices
5) A self-starter able to work independently as well as Team member
