Position Title : Planting Team Assistant / Greenhouse Technician
Locations : 7305 Northwest 62nd Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131
Anticipated Start Date : 02 / 17
Expected Duration : 10 Months
Job Type : Contract with possible extension
Pay Rate : $22.00 / hr on W2
Need : A valid driver's license is required. Greenhouse / Planting / Seeding exp preferred.

Job Title : Greenhouse Technician / Planting Team Assistant
Job Overview :
The Greenhouse Technician / Planting Team Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Planting Team's daily operations, including tasks such as seeding, plantlet transplanting, and greenhouse management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare flats and pots by filling them with the appropriate substrate.
- Plant seeds accurately into flats and pots.
- Transplant plantlets into flats and pots with precision.
- Transport carts of plants in and out of greenhouses.
- Operate a pallet jack to move pallets of substrate efficiently.
- Print plant identification tags using the tag printing station.
- Drive a company van between facilities (1-2 times per week).
