Job Overview
A prominent law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Trial Attorney specializing in personal injury cases. This role is ideal for a highly motivated legal professional with a proven record in civil jury trials and a commitment to excellence in client representation. The attorney will handle cases from inception to settlement or trial, with significant autonomy and support to achieve optimal results.
Duties
Manage a high-volume caseload involving all phases of personal injury litigation.
Conduct comprehensive investigations to assess liability and damages.
Draft and file legal documents, including motions, discovery responses, and trial briefs.
Prepare for and serve as the first chair in civil jury trials.
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
Provide exceptional service and maintain clear, consistent communication with clients.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of personal injury litigation experience, with an emphasis on trial work.
Successful completion of at least 10 civil jury trials to verdict.
Active Bar license and in good standing in California.
Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with high attention to detail.
Experience working collaboratively with support staff and legal teams.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California State Bar.
Certifications
Must hold a current license to practice law in California.
