What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect (Sitecore XM Cloud) position at BCI~IT?
BCI has the following senior level role open with our direct client in Jersey City. The position is for a senior architect that is able to do hands on work as well as help the team implement and troubleshoot solutions. Hybrid with 1 day a week in office. Can work on W2 or 1099. No C2C or subcontractors. 6 months to start with good chance for future extensions.
Job Description / Skills :
- 10 years of experience with Sitecore CMS using Sitecore products like Sitecore XP, XM Cloud, CDP, Personalize, and Sitecore Content Hub.
- 5 years of hands-on experience working with Sitecore XM Cloud, with a proven track record of architecting, and delivering complex, high-quality digital cloud-based Sitecore solutions.
- Experience in Sitecore platform architecture, including knowledge of Sitecore’s data models, templates, and components (SXA, JSS, Sitecore Content Serialization, etc.).
- Should have practical experience deploying and managing containerized applications on AWS utilizing the Kubernetes container orchestration platform.
- Strong knowledge of Sitecore configuration, content management, and personalization features.
- Expertise in developing custom Sitecore modules and components, including integrations with external systems like Analytics, marketing automation, and other systems.
- Hands-on experience in version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket), deployment strategies, and CI / CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Sitecore development using C#, NextJS, GraphQL, Powershell,.NET Framework, and .NET Core.
- Strong understanding of Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA), Sitecore JSS, Sitecore Headless, and Sitecore Cloud platforms.
- Should have hands-on experience in web application migration from Sitecore XP to Sitecore XM Cloud.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6 ), and frameworks like React and NextJS.
- Experience with databases (SQL Server, DynamoDB) and experience integrating Sitecore with other systems via RESTful APIs or Web Services.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
- Should have development and integration experience with Solr and Coveo.
- Experience with cloud-native application development (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda).
- Understanding of cloud security practices, networking, and cost management.
- Experience with Sitecore JSS, Experience Edge, and headless architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platform services (Azure or AWS), including compute, storage, CDN, and security features.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services, such as serverless computing, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud storage.
