Job Description Summary
The role of the Assessment Psychologist is to administer and interpret psychological evaluations which help clinicians and physicians create treatment plans and track patients' progress. Assessments are often needed when a client presents a diagnostic question; most commonly our clients are referred for autism evaluation.
BCPS has six clinics around North Carolina and 30 BCBAs working together, learning from each other, sharing experiences, developing treatment plans for kiddos with autism, supervising BTs and celebrating the victories in therapy -Whenever, Whatever, Wherever it Takes.
Our team includes:
30 other BCBA peers with whom to learn, laugh, question and grow
16 clinical support staff offering behavioral support on client’s programs
School support with dedicated, knowledgeable expertise in IEPs and state regulations and requirements to help consult on ABA programs in schools
Our Regional ABA Program Director developing Organizational Behavior Management programs for staff reinforcement systems and behavior reinforcement for the team

Essential Functions
Perform psychological assessments, testing, and evaluation and provide diagnosis based on assessments, testing, and evaluation.
As appropriate, develop and recommend treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis and provide referrals when necessary for additional care, evaluation, or treatment.
Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Licensed psychologist in NC with degree in clinical psychology.
The provider should have related experience in assessment and a strong working knowledge of diagnostic techniques and a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities as well as a strong familiarity with assessment techniques.
The candidate must meet all credentialing requirements, should work effectively with diverse populations, and operate within ethical and professional standards of care.
Work Environment, Physical Conditions
Must be able to perform a variety of physical and often repetitive activities including (but not limited to) standing and sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Must exhibit satisfactory manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to or more than 100lbs.
