Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who can work both independently and collaboratively to manage large, technical, engineered capital equipment projects. As the single point of contact between the customer and the company, this role is critical to our success. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project schedules and resources while managing scope, budget, and profitability. This role will interact closely with our Vendors and Customers as well as key departments such as Applications Engineering, Sales, Project Engineering, Finance, and Field Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project implementation plans
- Lead project execution by coordinating meetings, tracking metrics, providing status updates, and generating performance reporting
- Manage and report project progress and budget
- Focus on eliminating scope creep and manage change order process to maintain and improve profit margins
- Work closely with Finance on project financial reporting on complex, long-term projects
- Manage technical submittals by working closely with Engineering on document and revision control
- Ensure timely project closeout, including subcontractor management, client lien releases, and financial documentation
- Assist with project administrative tasks, including equipment submittals, drawing packages, O&M manuals, and regulatory compliance documentation
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor subcontractor work, identify scope changes, and assess project progress
- Communicate with project stakeholders both internally and externally
Employment Requirements:
· BS or BA Degree (Engineering, Business Administration or Building Sciences preferred) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with 5 years of relevant experience
· Willingness to travel occasionally
· Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
· Available for on-call support, during start-up or commissioning phases
· Ability to work and interact with Customers and vendors
· MS Office suite proficiency, including MS Project
· Fluent spoken and written English
· Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital equipment projects preferred
· Smartsheet proficiency a plus
· Experience in the Water / Wastewater industry a plus
· Background check and drug screening are a required part of the hiring process
