Business Communications Solutions is an audiovisual systems, low-voltage cabling, and security solutions installer based in Irvine, California. We are looking for a motivated, team-player to join our growing team as a Project Coordinator. BCS provides audiovisual integration services ranging from design-build consulting through project planning to post installation training and support.
We are seeking a skilled multitasker to join our operations team who will assist in coordinating our customer projects. This person will be responsible for working with the clients through the process, as well as working with our engineers and project manager.
The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people, great organizational skills, plenty of experience with project coordination and good problem-solving skills.

The Project Coordinator will provide coordination and organization of activities for network refresh projects, varying in location and complexity, including:

- Maintain and execute overall network refresh project schedules and logistics
- Provide daily support and schedule service tickets for Regional and National accounts
- Plan and coordinate schedules for hardware and software upgrades and equipment installation with client team and technical contractor(s)
- Use project scheduling and control tools to assist with monitoring projects plans and status
- Provide status updates for projects and escalate issues that may impact project deadline to stakeholders
- Communicate and coordinate designs and requirements with relevant contractors and stakeholders
- Coordinate the hardware and software change and maintenance requests with hardware operations, local field tech team, third-party vendors, and hardware providers
- Maintain documentation of the device and network configurations for sites
- Manage and coordinate lifecycle procurement of deployment equipment and services to maintain sufficient inventory levels
- Identify initiatives to improve the quality of services and minimize downtime
- Answering client calls requesting service & create necessary service orders
- Estimating and some purchasing
- Efficient coordination and scheduling of resources (Technicians, Engineers, Trainers, Subcontractors)
- Coordinate projects with Sales department and Engineers
- Track time on a project and ensure the project resources do not exceed contractual allocations
- Ensure status updates are distributed to Customer and Sales department managers
- Review and approve Subcontractor invoices for project work
- Proactively update systems with status and documentation
- Work with purchasing department on equipment needs
- Troubleshoot problems reported by customers and resolve if possible
- Other general responsibilities as required by supervisor.
- Intermediate understanding and working knowledge of network infrastructure, VOIP and WiFi technologies
- Experience with deploying network technologies and hardware equipment
- Experience collaborating with third party vendors and contractors (low-voltage cabling, general contractors, facilities/real estate, etc.)
- Possess effective written and verbal English language communication skills
- Ability to communicate through telephone, emails, and meetings on project plans and status to Program Managers and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must possess strong organizational, efficiency and detail-oriented skill sets
- High school diploma or equivalency
- PC literacy to include Microsoft Office applications, other project management applications helpful
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Highly professional presentation and demeanor
