What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Professional - SAHM Opportunity position at BCS Laundry Mom?
At BCS Laundry Mom, one of our core values is MOMS SUPPORTING MOMS. If you are a SAHM looking for a flexible way to earn supplemental income, this opportunity may be right for you!
Description of Role:
We provide a professional, personalized laundry service to the local Bryan/College Station area. Following an in-person onboarding period (more info below), this position entails taking full ownership of processing client laundry including 1) picking up from the client; 2) washing, drying, and folding at your own residence; and 3) returning a professionally finished bag of clean and sorted laundry back to the client, usually within 24 hours. The turnaround time to return completed laundry can vary up to 2-3 days, depending on the client and type of service booked.
Schedule and Pay:
Contractors are paid weekly, based on the amount (weight) of laundry completed the previous week. BCS Laundry Mom is a family-oriented business, and as such, enables contractors to have great flexibility in determining their own schedule. Contractors may have availability ranging anywhere from 1-5 days per week.
Requirements and Training:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle in good condition
- Clean and functional washer and dryer
- Clean and sanitary space to process laundry
- Regular availability during the pickup and dropoff window (8:00 am to 11:00 am Monday through Saturday)
- (Note: Contractors do not have to be available for the entire 3-hour timeframe; they must simply be available long enough during this time to complete their scheduled pickups and deliveries.)
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to communicate regularly (usually text or phone calls)
- Willingness to submit to in-home quality checks as needed
- The ideal candidate will already have a mostly home-centered lifestyle.
Onboarding begins with a 2-4 week (or more if needed) hands-on and in-person training period occurring in 3-4 hour shifts. Work completed in office is paid hourly ($10/hr.) and is completed when the newly-onboarded contractor has successfully demonstrated their ability to reliably fold each type of clothing article according to detailed specifications.
