BCT-LLC is seeking a talented User Interface (UI) Designer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This role is customer facing and requires an active TS/SCI with Poly.
As a User Interface Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on our High Performance Computing (HPC) Project. In this role, you will be responsible for designing pixel-perfect user interfaces for a web application. The focus of the work will be on the layout of the web pages, the styling of the UI components, typography and color decisions, iconography and other graphical imagery, and maintaining a consistent and cohesive aesthetic across all the pages that make up the application. Additional work might include helping with UX team documentation to provide consistent graphical style and language across all UX artifacts.
What you will do
- Iterating on design decisions through prototyping and user testing;
- Creating style guides to explain UI components styling to include colors, fonts, pixel-perfect sizing, cursor changes, etc.;
- Creating high-fidelity mockups displaying pixel-perfect page layouts either statically as wireframes (using a tool such as Adobe Illustrator or Sketch) or dynamically as a digital prototype (using a tool such as Adobe XD or InVision);
- Answering questions for the development team as they arise; and
- Creating other UX artifacts to document user research, design decision, and updates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, a related technical degree, or a related discipline (with additional related experience) from an accredited college of university.
