Job Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Parts Manager is responsible for managing inventory, fulfilling parts requests, and coordinating shipments to ensure smooth operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to anticipating the needs of our production team.
This role is based at our Cambridge, Ohio location and is a fully onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Pull parts for previous day's work orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
- Compile and maintain a report of parts required for all pending jobs to keep the production team informed.
- Receive, verify, and accurately log purchase orders into the inventory system.
- Pack and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Pack CNC parts in advance to streamline shipping and improve efficiency.
- Ensure the cylinder head department is fully stocked with the necessary parts and materials for the upcoming week.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts to verify stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders for approval by Friday at noon to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role in manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling parts, orders, and inventory systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer applications is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing facility environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and physical tasks.
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses, as per safety guidelines.
- Regularly involves lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
