Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Parts Warehouse Clerk position available at our Victoria, Texas location. This position is responsible for responding to customers' needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency. Must also provide prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of all parts transactions and related warehouse activities. This requires working independently, with specific direction, or as a member of a team. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, day shift 7 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.
Essential Functions :
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse; To be monitored by management observation and stock order analysis reports, as well as daily and year-end physical inventories
Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement and achievement of other KRA's
Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
Learns how to place 3ʳᵈ party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
Works overtime as required by workload
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines to include; order pulling, job-related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder Job Safety Analysis (JSA), battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
Ability to operate a conventional forklift
Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write, and understand information
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Up to two years of experience
Travel :
Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays

Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity

Frequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lb; must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
Ascends / descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet, and climbs up and down ladders and / or equipment
Work Environment :
Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
