Pet Sitter

Job Summary
In short, our purpose at Beach Buddies is to provide excellent pet care for our clients. Our sitters provide our clients with experienced, qualified pet care that leaves them with peace of mind knowing that their pet is getting the individualized attention that they deserve.

The main responsibility of our part-time pet sitters is to perform the pet sitting and/or dog walking duties outlined by our clients, in our client’s homes. Our are pet lovers that always go the extra mile with those in their care… making sure that client preference sheets are followed, scheduled visits are done on time and with the highest integrity.

Duties

• Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for pets by maintaining hygiene standards.
• Engage in playtime and exercise with pets to promote physical health and mental stimulation.
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the pet owner or veterinarian.
• Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, including feeding schedules and medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and any issues that arise during care.

Requirements

• Proven experience in animal handling or care, preferably in a pet sitting or veterinary setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with both pets and their owners.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
• A passion for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, proactively and take initiative.
• Must have an understanding and be passionate about animals, it is useful to have a background in animal healthcare.
• Rapport with Animals: Must enjoy spending time with animals and have a gentle – yet assertive when necessary – way with them.
• Reliable & Trustworthy: Our clients are counting on you to take care of their beloved pets when they cannot.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
