Bruno the Wigglebutt is seeking a reliable and compassionate Overnight Pet Sitter/Dog Walker to join our team. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets in their homes, including dog walking, overnight pet sitting, transportation to vet appointments, and more. This position requires a deep love for animals, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients' beloved pets.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dog walking services for various durations (30, 60, or 90 minutes) based on client preferences and pet needs.
- Provide overnight pet sitting services in clients' homes, ensuring pets receive adequate care, companionship, and supervision.
- Travel to and from clients' homes in a timely and professional manner.
- Engage pets in physical activities and play to promote exercise and mental stimulation.
- Administer food, water, medications, and any other necessary treatments according to clients' instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pets' living areas, including litter box cleaning and waste removal.
- Transport pets to and from vet appointments or grooming sessions as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on their pets' well-being and any relevant information.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pet care, safety, and client confidentiality.
- Handle emergencies or unforeseen situations with composure and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet care, dog walking, or animal handling preferred.
- Genuine love and affection for animals, with a strong commitment to their welfare.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate overnight stays and varying client needs.
- Physical ability to walk and handle pets of all sizes and breeds.
- Willingness to undergo background checks or screenings as required.
Additional Information:
- This is a 1099 position, meaning you will be responsible for your own taxes and benefits.
- Picking up pet waste (poop scooping) is a required task during pet care visits.
