Our client, The University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation (UA-ARC), seeks a Contract Administrator 1 that will be responsible for assisting in administration of all aspects of a contract from proposal to close-out phase to meet contract performance requirements. The individual will work under the supervision of the Contracts Manager. Contract Administrator 1 will also report to each Program Manager on each individual contract.

UA-ARC extends UArizona's focus on teaching and learning, research and discovery, and outreach and engagement in service to the state of Arizona, the nation, and the world community. UA-ARC operates to identify and coordinate defense and security research opportunities and works with UArizona faculty and research teams to obtain new sources of funding through interdisciplinary collaborations and public and private partnerships. UA-ARC serves as UArizona's front door to the external defense and security community.

This position will support UA-ARC and the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. This is an in-person position without a remote work option.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities include independent coordination of all day-to-day aspects of contracts management activity including supporting contract negotiations with suppliers, partners and customers.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and subcontractors to implement the contract requirements and deliverables.
  • Maintains, updates and files contract records used to ensure compliance with company reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of contract law.
  • Familiarity with business, finance and accounting terminology.
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • S. Citizenship is required and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret Security clearance.
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. A combination of education and experience can be substituted as equivalent education.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a government and / or commercial contracting environment a plus.
