Beachfront Palms Hotel Galveston TX is a 3 star hotel located on the beach/seawall next to 61st street. We have 151 rooms and a beautiful courtyard. The hotel was fully renovated in 2021 and 2022.
Galveston is a wonderful beach town with many attractions and a burgeoning cruise port.
## Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Manager that can improve our guest satisfaction scores and oversee our guest room experience (minimum of 3 years hotel management experience is required). The candidate needs to have a focus on guest room condition and standards. Daily room inspections are a must to ensure the hotel guests have a wonderful stay from check in to check out. Supervision of housekeepers and organizing preventative maintenance are central to this role. Prior head housekeeper, rooms division management, general hotel management required.
The Rate of pay is dependent upon hospitality management experience.
## Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day guest room condition including overseeing housekeeping staff, housekeeping inventory, and customer service.
- Supervise and train staff in various roles, including housekeeping.
- Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and room condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment at the hotel that meets health and safety standards
- Organize maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance scheduling
## Requirements
- Hotel Manager Experience: at least 3 years.
- Proven experience in hospitality management with a focus on customer service and guest room condition.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of housekeepers and maintenance staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must spend 95% of time outside of the office working in guest rooms and overseeing the building facilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in select service hotel management, at least 3 years as Hotel Manager
- Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping management is not preferred but rather required.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
