Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. Duties
- Supervise and lead the service team to ensure effective workflow and productivity.
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and training.
- Manage customer interactions, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct auto estimating and provide accurate assessments for repairs and maintenance services.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry standards regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Maintain inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies necessary for service operations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to promote automotive services and enhance overall dealership performance.
- Implement best practices in tire service, brake repair, and general vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining financial records related to service operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or a similar role within a dealership environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and tools used in the automotive industry.
- Experience in cash handling and financial management within a retail or service context is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive sales principles is a plus but not required.
