What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist - OP position at Beacon Behavioral Hospital?
Beacon Behavioral is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Part Time LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or P-LPC to work 3 days per week at our Beacon Intensive Outpatient Program in Baton Rouge. As a Licensed Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health care for our patients. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions. Your goal will be to help our patients achieve their mental health goals and improve their overall well-being. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Beacon Behavioral Support Services is one of the largest and most established behavioral health programs in Louisiana. For 25 years, Beacon employs caring staff at locations across southeast Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Metairie, Slidell, Hammond, Bogalusa, Bunkie, Opelousas, and Lutcher. We currently provide inpatient programs and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide therapy to those struggling with emotional disorders, substance abuse, and mental disorders.
Over the past 3 years, Beacon has expanded its service line to partner with Psychiatric Private Practices in TX, AR, MS, FL, PA and more to come in 2025.

What does the LMSW, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or P-PLC do? (including but not limited to)
As a Therapist in our IOP, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and help them feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. You will also use your expertise in counseling and therapy to develop treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique needs. In addition, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care. Your ability to work effectively as part of a team will be essential to your success in this role. Finally, your experience with electronic health records will help you maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, must be, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, P-LPC.
- Current state licensure as a therapist

- Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Experience with electronic health records
