- Serve as the go-to resource for employees and managers, helping to resolve issues and drive HR initiatives that align with the company’s goals
- Leave of Absence administration, including FMLA, personal and parental leave
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Word, Excel (Pivot Tables/ VLOOKUPS), PowerPoint and HR database software.
- Generate HR reports and provide insights into HR metrics such as turnover, and recruitment effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while maintaining up-to-date employee records
- Conduct new employee orientation
- Oversee time and attendance systems to ensure accurate time tracking and compliance with wage and hour regulations
- Assist with maintaining employee records, including all filing and organization of filing system
- Lead employee engagement efforts, including organizing company events, recognition programs, and feedback initiatives
- Maintain the HRIS to ensure accurate and updated employee data
- Review candidate background checks
- 2-4 years’ experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Psychology or Sociology or related field
- Considerable knowledge of human resource principles & practices, including recruitment & selection, classification & compensation, employee relations, Federal & State laws, & employee benefit programs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse individuals and groups, including developing and presenting information.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures and provide sound guidance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, time management, prioritization and organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, problem-solve using good judgement, assess needs, and implement solutions that support organizational goals.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, provide excellent customer service, and ensure confidentiality.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
